Groups

We have a variety of small groups that meet that are designed to facilitate study, discussion, support and service. Each group has a particular focus or interest. New persons may join any group at any time.

United Methodist Women Fellowship The United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the Church.
Senior Adult Fellowship
"Prime Timers," for retirees who go to College Avenue Church, participate in service projects and plan outings that include dinners at restaurants, programs, speakers, and bus trips.
Single Adult Fellowship
ECI-Singles is an open non-denominational community of single adults gathering to seek personal growth and friendship in a safe Christian environment of acceptance, caring and support.  Our ministry includes entertainment, education, community service, worship opportunities, and social activities.  Our monthly events include Sunday Bible Study, Potluck Planning meetings, Sunday Supper at the Harvest Soup Kitchen, Singles Sunday School class.
Faith and Works
Faith and Works Circle is a group of women whose focus is on mission. We visit various mission programs, study mission opportunities, and we assist them in many different ways. We are a morning circle; we meet the third Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at the church. We welcome all.
Wit-Knits
Wit-Knits is a gathering of crafters that meet on the first and third
Monday of the month. They meet in the church lounge. Their projects are
prayer shawls, prayer blankets, baby blankets for our new arrivals, and
sweaters for the Guidepost Sweater Project. Everyone is welcomed.
Christian Believers Study Group

A thirty-week intensive study that combines study of Scripture and Christian belief. Daily reading of scripture and a book of readings by scholars and theologians prepare you for a group meeting each week that last approximately two hours.  If you want to grow in your faith and knowledge, this is just what you’re looking for.  Anyone is welcome to join or visit.   Call the church office for more information.

Book Club
This group, which meets in each other's homes on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., enjoys selecting, reading and discussing a wide variety of books. It provides a setting to meet other women in the church. Contact person: Teresa Clemmons, 286-5052.
