CONGREGATIONAL CARE

Health

Screening and

Education

Health Screening and Education consists of health screenings which are held to improve the health and wholeness of the congregation. Blood pressure screenings are scheduled the third Sunday of each month in the coffee bar area. Health Education programs are offered quarterly. Blood drives for Indiana Blood Bank are held periodically.

Prayer Ministries

Prayer Ministries include an email prayer chain with over 50 members participating. Prayer concerns are sent frequently by email and by mail weekly to those without email. Emergency requests are sent immediately. Prayers for the church, its leaders, and members are held each Sunday morning. Retreats and prayer groups also form a part of this ministry.

GriefShare

GriefShare is a special group for people grieving the death of someone close. It is a place where you can be around people who understand how you feel and the pain of your loss. At GriefShare, you will learn valuable information that will help you through the difficult times in your life. Sessions are offered in October and February.

Card Ministry

Card Ministry is a way of caring on special occasions or during illness of members. Cards are also sent to members who are homebound or in long-term care or assisted living.

Esther

Ministry

The Esther Ministry is one of the caring ministries of our church. As a token of love, food deliveries are made on the occasion of illness in the home, release from the hospital, time of grieving, extended hospitalization of a family member, or arrival of a new baby. Volunteer church members cook and deliver the food.

Lay Care

Ministers

Lay Care Ministers visit members of CAC who are homebound or in assisted living and long-term care facilities on a regular basis, providing fellowship and outreach - a means of keeping them "connected'' to the church. Caregivers are matched up with care receivers and alert the church to any changes or additional needs that may occur.
